C.G. Beck is the author of “The Labor of Architecture” and a registered architect in New York. He writes about design and society, focusing on the effects of digital technology on methods of making, and systems of capital on labor and production. He also teaches and studies at The New School and serves as a strategic advisor to the IAM Union, drawing on his experience organizing the first private-sector architecture union. He is also a guest contributor to the d@w Substack:
