Massachusetts and Colombia workers unite in solidarity against global conglomerate
In 2024, workers at Blue Bottle coffee shops in Massachusetts organized themselves into the Blue Bottle Independent Union (BBIU). Now, they are in a fight to get their first contract. What makes this fight daunting for these workers is that the Blue Bottle chain, with over 100 locations globally, is owned by Nestlé Corporation, one of the largest international food conglomerates with 2024 profits of ten billion dollars.
